Cashew Kernels are graded into white/scorched wholes, pieces, splits, etc.. depending on the shape, size & colour of the kernel.

 

The most popular grades for various applications where visual appeal and taste are critical.

 

 

  • White Wholes-W180 is the ‘ King of Cashew ‘. They are larger in size and hence expensive.

     

  • White Wholes -W210 is popularly known as ‘Jumbo’ nuts.

     

     

  • White Wholes -W240 is an attractive grade available at reasonable prices.

     

  • White Wholes – W320 is the most popular among cashew kernels and also the most available, worldwide.

     

  • White Wholes -W400 is the smallest and also the cheapest white whole kernel. This is hence the favourite among low-priced whole grades.

(Scorched Wholes – Scorched variety of the White Whole 240/320/400 grade, the most popular size variety. Ideal for all kinds of food application where visual appeal is not important. Appropriate for further processing such as roasting and coating. )

 When one LBS weight  is taken, the count is approximately or less than the designated count (240/320/400)

 

  • Scorched Wholes (SW)are another grade of cashew kernels. They are prepared by subjecting the kernels to a longer duration of roasting, whereby they attain a slight brown colour. They however have all the other characteristics of White kernels including nutritional qualities.
